Kozhikode, June 25: The defending I-league Champions Gokulam Kerala FC continue their preparations in full swing for the upcoming season. The Malabarians have added TRAU FC’s midfield general Khungdongba Krishananda Singh on a free transfer.

Time at I-League

The midfielder started his professional career at TRAU and was a regular starter in the past two seasons for the Manipuri Club. He has been on the top of his game since the 2019-20 season and was also on the radar of a few ISL clubs. But, Gokulam Kerala was quick to react and signed him on the first given opportunity.

Krishananda made his mark in the I-league for his versatility of playing across all positions in the midfield. He can be deployed on the left flank, right flank, and also as an attacking and defensive midfielder. The 25-year-old has 5 goal contributions to show in 24 I-league appearances.

Singh scored his debut goal against his new club, Gokulam Kerala FC back in the 2019-20 season. His three goals and two assists for TRAU complement his all-round capabilities and he will surely add a lot more meaning to the Malabarians’ squad.
